OVERVIEW

Out-soles of footwear may suffer cracking due to flexing in actual use. Cracks usually develop at points of high surface strain. The Belt Flex Tester is designed to flex complete soles with their patterns intact in a way similar to flexing in actual use. Tests carried out using it provide a guide to the risk of such cracks developing during use.

Paramount BATA BELT Flex Tester i9™ is an ergonomically designed Equipment with sturdy mechanism to get Accurate & Reliable Results. It is an advanced Equipment used to check shoe sole Cracking due to Flexing in actual usage. The test specimens are attached to the outside of a continuous belt, which is driven round two rollers. The larger roller drives the belt while movement of the belt round the smaller roller provides the main flexing action. The radius of the smaller roller is chosen to make the flexing somewhat more severe than in actual use. This form of flexing also copies the wear conditions at each step as it produces a short period of rapid flexing followed by a longer period when the specimen is not being flexed. A normal test consists of a number of flexing runs up to a total of 50,000 flexes, with an examination for cracking at the end of each run. The apparatus is finished in blue Powder Coated Paint to give it a corrosion resistant finish

SALIENT FEATURES :

OVERVIEW

The ability of materials like shoe uppers leathers, gloves, furniture leather, car interior decorative leathers and garments, to withstand repeated flexing without cracking is determined with the help of a flexing resistance test. In this test, rectangular specimens are folded and clamped at each end to maintain them in a folded position in a set of grips, one of which is fixed while the other is able to oscillate. The movement of the oscillating grip causes the fold in the test specimen to run along its centre. This operation is carried out repeatedly and the test specimens inspected periodically to assess the damage produced. The equipment used for this test is Bally Flex Tester i9™.

PARAMOUNT Bally Flex Tester i9™ is an ergonomically designed Equipment with sturdy mechanism to get Accurate & Reliable Results. Test specimens are held between a pair of stationary and oscillating grips. Motion to the oscillating grips is given through a link mechanism, which oscillates the shaft on which the grips are mounted. All the pivot points of the mechanism have ball bearings to ensure smooth operation and a long working life. The link mechanism gives motion from an electric motor and two sets of V-pulleys. A four-digit electronic counter with key-reset and backup memory is provided to record the total number of flexing cycles undergone by the test specimens. The apparatus is finished in bright chrome / zinc plating and Shore Blue Metallic painting to give it a corrosion resistant finish.

ADIN Abrasion Tester determines the resistance of Elastomers in regard with the frictional loss on Rubber product such as footwear, tyres, conveyor belts ,hoses ,floor covering etc. As the wear is always the result of abrasion ,hence it simulates long term wear effectively .This tester is designed and manufactured in accordance with DIN standard. It is used for uniformity tests and comparison tests of rubber abrasion. Abrasive paper is wound on the surface of a rotary drum and rubber specimen subjected to load is moved on the abrasive paper. The amount of rubber reduced in the specimen due to the abrasion is measured.

PARAMOUNT DIN Abrasion Master i9™ is Next Generation equipment made exactly as per International standards . The Equipment allows user to measure the abrasion resistance of rubbers (vulcanized thermo-set rubbers and thermoplastic elastomers) that are subject to abrasive/frictional wear in their actual service, such as tires, conveyor drive belts, and shoe soles. The abrasion distance is easily selected by an adjusting screw. The constant pressure on the sample is set by using a variety of loading weights. If the test requires   sample to be rotated around its own axis, this rotation is easily activated by the operator.

OVERVIEW

The Ross Flex Test gives a measure of the resistance of sole material to cracking resulting from flexing in wears. The material is repeatedly flexed through 90º over a mandrel at a specified temperature after a small cut has been made right through with a chisel. The rate of growth of this cut is a measure of the tendency of the material to crack.

Paramount Ross Flex Tester i9™ is an ergonomically designed Equipment with sturdy mechanism to get Accurate & Reliable Results. It consists of an arrangement to repeatedly bend the test specimens around a mandrel by an angle of 90º at the specified frequency at a specified temperature. The specimen grip has provision for holding three pairs of test specimens at a time. The grip is pivoted on bearings to give a smooth angular movement. This movement of the grip causes the test specimens to bend over a mandrel rod with its axis coinciding with the axis of movement of the grip. An electronic preset digital counter with backup memory is provided to record the total numbers of bending cycles and to stop the machine after a pre-set number of bending cycles.

OVERVIEW

Bennewart Flex Tester allows determining the resistance of a sole to the growth of a cut during repeated flexing. It is designed for the assessment of complete bottom constructions (including midsoles and insoles).  It can also be used to assess the effect of surface patterns on crack initiation and growth. This test is especially applicable to the outsoles of footwear but may also be used with certain other flexible components.

Paramount Bennewart Flex Tester i9Ô is an ergonomically designed Equipment with sturdy mechanism to get Accurate & Reliable Results. It consists of a drive unit comprising an electric motor with pulleys and belts and link mechanism to give an oscillating movement to one of the two grips holding the two ends of the test specimen, the other grip being fixed. The oscillating grip has gun metal bushes, which slides on two hardened and ground bearing steel rods to give it a long working life. Each grip consists of swayable bases pivoted on ball bearings so that the two ends of the test specimen are free to align themselves with the natural contour of the specimen during flexing. A six-digit pre-set electronic digital counter the numbers of test cycles and also stops the motor after pre-set numbers of test cycles. The apparatus is finished in Blue Powder Coated Paint.
